Annie i can't understand where you're coming from with this one, sorry. 90% accuracy? You must be joking, and let's not act like Barry has been @@@@ during his entire playing career at Sydney, this year was really his only shocker, you're going way over the top with your critisism.

No one would want him. And even if they did, they would offer much. The new rule has killed him, and he can't work out a better way around it. Liability.

This whole thread is just stupid!
Yes, Barry Hall had an ordinary night (and an ordinary season)
BUT!!!.... what short memories you all have. over the last couple of seasons he was in the top 5 players in the competition.
I know he's strugled with the changing rules. ie. hands in the back. But, a player that relys on he leading ability is always going to struggle when he carries a groin injury (and a knee injury earlier on) for the season.

All this and he's still the swan with the most goals for the season.

You're all over-reacting, cut the guy some slack and see what he does next year fully fit!

I'm not blindly loyal about Hall - however he did have a very good season last year.

Put the Irishman at full-forward. We need his Irish trickery alongside Davis.
That's really not going to work...

Yeah, I really have a short memory. 2006 GF, he was deplorable. 2007 season he was much of the same. Perhaps you should drink a glass of reality....

2006 GF was one bad match.... but you being so perfect I'm sure you've never had an off day at anything you do.

2007 is a completely different kettle of fish. He played injured for the majority of the year.

you, my friend is the one who needs a reality check.
But don't let reality get in the way of your rant. You're obviously angry still from the @@@@e 'the whole team' served up, minus Adam Goodes.

Do we write off Hall this season, as just a bad season adjusting to the rule change, injuries etc or is it time for Hall to hang up his boots?

What an absolute farce of a thread.

How can it be that one year of Hall having trouble with his kicking suddenly morph into years of problems with his kicking.

As MNW has pointed out, Hall's accruacy has been top line for his entire career in Sydney so you can't just suddently taint his career based on this year.

There is no doubt that Hall has had a problem with his groin this year and that his had a massive impact on his ability to kick over distance with accruacy. Fix the problem with the groin and you should see that fixed.

As for his marking, Hall has never been a great contested mark. His rise as a leading player has all been down to his ability to keep moving and being able take the ball uncontested due to his opponent falling off him exhuasted.

You don't have to be einstein to work out that with the groin injury he has just not been able to cover the ground that he wants and needs too to break down his opponent. Hell Shane Wakelin has been able to go with him three times this year just becuase he has not covered the ground that is needed for his game to work.

Fix the groin, give him a full pre season and their is no reason why he doesn't get back to another 70+ goal season next year if he can play the way he wants and needs to be effective.

I'll only jump back on the bandwagon if he does 90+ next year - with only 21 behinds. Surely that's not too much to expect from the highest paid forward in the competition.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

If he read this thread yours may be one of the behinds he would kick.

Highest paid forward in the comp, please.

Pavlich, Llyod, Lucas, Brown and probably Reiwoldt with his new contract are all on more than Hall.

Hell even throw in Tarrant as well.

he'll be alright next year with the extra break we're gonna get plus their isn't any international rules

the last few years have been very busy so he'll appreciate the rest and will hopefully be 100% come round 1

Judd may be paid an extreme amount of money next year if rumors of him going back to Victoria are true. By your reckoning, that means he will be judged a failure if he doesn't average 70 possessions a game.
