We lacked pace this year. Spriggs had plenty. He may have been useful (he would not have won us a flag).
Did we delist Spriggs a year too early?

Did we delist Spriggs to early??? In a word, no. The boy was just an ordinary footballer. Hell, we could get Asafa Powell out there to run but if he doesn't know how to play footy then it just ain't gonna work. Speed AND skill are the two necessary components to make a modern day footballer.Go you mighty BLOODBOYS!Comment

The Swans dont keep or use quick players, but it doesn't matter how bad a kick he was we could have just given him the ball and told him to take every one on and have a ping.On the topic...maybe i'm not sure. Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Perhaps if the Reserves end up back partnering Port Melbourne they can renew acquanitances with Spriggsy...he had a good year this year in the VFL
Mind you I am hoping we dont go the Port Melbourne option...instead go standalone in the VFLRed and white till I dieComment

Liz and I had this discussion elsewhere, you need receivers who are fast and can break away from the packs. Having all in and under players in the middle seems a bit of overkill. With no "receivers" on the fringes they then choose to force a ball up as there is no-one to give the ball out to when they (the in and under players) do get the ball.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

Surely Spriggs would have been better value, not just last week but all year, than J Bolton or McVeigh.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
