Pffft, it's happened before at Sydney/South Melbourne and every other club for that matter, it will happen again. That's life in a national competition.

FWIW I think that if the club culture wasn't as bad as it is at the Illegals, Judd would have stayed a bit longer.

When will people learn that the higher the pedestal you put some-one on the further they will fall? Judd has been put on a pedestal by the Illegal fans, so he has now fallen off the pedestal that they built for him.

Are you now saying that Cousins wants out too? I got that theory from EFH.

He deserves a little more from their supporters, sure they can be disapointed but to turn on the instant hatred for him shows me what sort of supporters they really have. I saw on TV last night one supporter claim that West Coast made him what he was - what a load of crap, Chris Judd would have been a superstar anywhere.

Sydney turned Jolly's career around, and in turn Jolly helped us win a Premiership, I do think he owes us more than 3 years though. Maybe someone will correct me, but we seemed to be the only club with any real interest in him in late 2004. Imagine what his career would have been like if he had to stick it out with Melbourne all this time???

Jolly is not worth pick #3, in fact it's arguable whether he's worth a first rounder at all based on his most recent performance.

I don't really think it is a matter of what he is worth, it may be a matter of what the market is demanding. However, given current information, he won't be leaving so the point is moot.

Yes he is a decent ruckman but he is nowhere near the elite class of Cox.

Jolly would barely be in the top 10 ruckmen in the AFL so, however scarce they are on the market, no club would give up pick #3 for Jolly.

To put that in perspective, the talk is that Carlton will offer #3 for Judd, so it really is irrational to think Jolly would be spoken of in the same breath.

Thing is though, quality midfielders are in far greater abundance than ruckmen. Hence them not giving up the chance at a top quality ruckman (albeit potential).

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Look at what the Tigers got for Ottens...3 top 20 picks...!

And for Geelong to manage to do that trade, lose Brent Moloney and still end up flag favourites shows its more a supply/demand situation rather than a specific "value" a player holds.

Pick 3 and Fev is definitely too much for Judd.

I almost feel sorry for WCE...I dont know how I'd cope if Goodesy head off...

Maybe so, but the suggestion that Jolly could be traded for #3 is one of the most ludicrous statements I've read.

Our friends over at Dockerland are having a field day.

                            They're calling themselves "juddland.com" today.

Jolly is arguably better value then these.
I would swap jolly for: Didak, Brennan, Hale, Goddard. In a flash.
