It was pretty obvious by quarter time that the Cats had the premiership, they had an excellent year and Port Power were a pathetic rabble, as expected. It's good to see Karma has come back to bite Choco in the ass.

I find a lot of the negative comments in this thread quite disturbing. Geelong have had a fantastic year. Their achievements will place in history as one of the great teams of all time for a given year, ranked at least in recent years with Carlton (1995) and Essendon (2000).

And as Swans supporters, surely we can identify with the emotions of a glorious breaking of a premiership drought after an absence of several decades.

Please, let's show a bit objectivity and sportsmanship, and congratulation Geelong's achievements in 2007. Perhaps those who felt inclined to be negative about the Cats should put themselves in a position and imagine what it might have been like for supporters of other clubs to be express negative commments about our 2005 achievement.

            100% present and correct.

Some people on here have a serious case of the blinkers.

Pitiful umpiring and a disappointing result but even more disappointing that the game was the most boring GF I've ever bothered to watch.

Watching a one-sided result as a neutral supporter will do that, I almost wasn't going to watch the Grand Final because of the awful pre-game entertainment. I blame Demetriou and his "Septopia."

The Cats are the worthy winner and my sincere congratulations.
By the same token, I'm glad not living in Melbourne anymore, because I'm sure that the Melbourne media will go into an overload probably not seen since the Essendon performance in 2000 (or even worse), which means that Melbournians will have to endure everything about the Cats for several months to follow.

It's probably not that different to 2005.

Congratulations to Geelong, they have some really good and exciting players. But as a Grand Final, the game was boring.

Collingwood, West Coast and The Swans would have all put up a much better fight than Port did. They just capitulated once the score started blowing out.

                              And the umpiring was poor.

I hate tourpe more. Anyone got a link to a photo of Choco doing the tie choke thing after the 2004 GF? I desperately need to send it to some Power supporters.

                                Meow.
