    Anyone thought of Sampi?

Yer,Yer,Yer I know he has some personal probs, but do you rekon Sampi could ad a spark to the the Swannies? It looks like the Wee-Girls are gunna dump him and I rekon with the help of MOL & Goodsie he could be great for us!

He`s only 23-24 and was picked up in the same draft as Jud.

      No thanks.

We're better off drafting an 18 year old who isn't addicted to fast food.

See, isn't Roos "philosophy" (See Jolly, Richards, Chambers) all about giving a player who hasn't had much opportunity at AFL level but could be an OK talent, rather than taking the "gamble" in the national draft and picking up a seventeen year old who (As in the case of Josh Willoughby, our #16 draft pick in 2003, doesn't play a game at all)

I'm not saying that fits in with recruiting Sampi, and Roos has already turned his back on that by trading two 'OK' (At the very least) players in Schneids and Dempster for one pick in what has been suggested is a weak draft.

        Pisses me off.

Can we drop this mythical idea that the move to off load both Sceinder & Dempster was for nothing more than the best draft pick(s) we could get.

The move to off load both was more about freeing up a spot on the list to allow us to promote 2 rookies and to provide further senior game time and opportunities for some of our younger emerging talent in Schmidt, Moore, Barlow, Laidlaw, Thornton and Daniel O'Keefe.

Roos was up front after the defeat to Collingwood that as many as three of these players are going to get first crack next year. But 25 does not go into 22 so someone had to go and those two were about the best we had to get at least something and that would releive some salary cap room.

Not all trades are completed for best possible draft picks alone.

Mate....Sampi has enough trouble being away from his family in Perth.... He would never ever ever go to Sydney..... He is obviously very family orientated and ultimately that is going to cost him his career.

Yer, I dunno. The Swannies have a rep for changing the ways of players that have lost their way a bit. I think that getting Samps out of the goldfish bowl of Perth and put him under the wings of Micky and the crew could do him the world of good. Plus give the Swans another spark!!

Someone suggested this a while ago.... I'm all for it. Why the hell not? Perhaps a change of scenery is exactly what he needs? We didn't here to much about Gardiner last year after his relocation did we?

I know it's a cliche, but don't we have the reputation for "straightening out" these rough diamonds??

Given that this is supposedley a very average draft, I'd happily take seeing as our highest pick is 11. Though would prefer to use pick 26 or higher...

Main problem is fitting him into our list without dumping more players. I'd be more than happy to pick him up with a high draft pick if we somehow were able to get rid of J Bolton, Mathews and/or Crouch.

I'd take Sampi. Get him out of the goldfish bowl for a year and see how he goes.
