That's correct, their drugs policy is rubbish. But if it's because he is on drugs that they are charging him, why aren't they doing the same to the others that they are PROTECTING? Remember, Cousins hasn't failed one drug test. Other footballers have failed two.....

I knew the AFL would make a mockery of themselves over this issue. If they're charging him because of the police charges then how many footballers have got away with similar behaviour? So who were the fab four that were recently fined but not convicted over a brawl, again? Has Daniel Kerr, Jeff Farmer, Andrew Krakouer etc brought the game into disrepute?

Their charging him with some regulation in the AFL rules.

Cousins has the right to appear in person, via videoconference or have someone appear on his behalf

Yep ... That was a great rehab benny went too ... What was the hospital that revived him after his alleged coke binge called again ???

Good on the afl for doing something - they cant kick him out for testing postive to drugs cos he hasn't tested positive to anything - maybe it is just the afl's way of trying to get him out and therefore look like they mean business on drugs?

If benny was going to play again (which i highly doubt now) he should go to a melbourne club like the roos for the following reasons
1) it would give me one more reason to hate the roos (not that i really need any after 96)
2) if he went to a club like brisbane or swans, he would be able to go out and get on the gear if he really wanted to - most people wouldnt recognise him. If he was in melbourne he couldnt go to any clubs without someone knowing who he was and dobbing him in if did anything.
3) i hate him and dont want him anywhere near my boys!

I don't like what Pratt has done but I'd rather my kid grow up to be a billionaire who allows his company to fix prices than a disgraced drug addict.

Pratt did a bad thing but I seriously doubt it has bought the game into disrepute.

The last few years of publicity from Mr Cousins however does deserve some investigation.

I imagine the AFL were alerted to what had occured in LA and bought forward the charge prior to incident being leaked to the media.

His son didn't tell him he spoke to his son.

And maybe he called his son at his hotel so he does know where he is.

And maybe he knows that he's in LA because it's been planned that way.

"He will be there for a period of time that will be determined by the Summit medical staff," he said.

"He has not missed any pre-arranged appointment with Summit.
