Don't stir up needless Sydney vs Melbourne crapOnce was, now elsewhereComment

They basically moved a game from the G to the Dome. Which is true, because we are playing Collingwood at the Dome this year rather than the G.
The TV brake up is crap, that much is true.....(we await for CTS)Once was, now elsewhereComment

I am shocked as to why there was a need for the early game in 2008. Fox just have pointless filler until the twilight game.
Also, surprising we play two early sunday matches at the MCG. Don't think the MCG has ever been used before the 1.10pm match.Comment

Good draw for us.
Only 1 of the last 6 games is away (I'm counting Canberra as our 2nd home).
Good Telstra Stadium games: WC (easy beats now they dont have a midfield), Essendon (easy beats), Collingwood (Damn pies consider us easy beats) and Geelong (premier, good rivalry from 2005, and hopefully hungover).Comment

From AFL.COM
"Sydney Swans
The Swans will play an extra match at Telstra Stadium in 2008 as the club continues its push into western Sydney.
Bigger crowds and contractual arrangements also necessitated the increase from three games at the former Olympic stadium, with matches against West Coast, Essendon, Collingwood and Geelong all certain to draw big numbers.
Paul Roos? side, after being knocked out in an elimination final in 2007, will need every win in what looks a tough opening few weeks to their 2008 campaign.
In the first nine rounds the Swans meet Port Adelaide twice and travel to Geelong. They also have away trips against the Kangaroos, St Kilda and the Brisbane Lions.
While the majority of the Swans? matches in the back half of the season are at home, they face Collingwood twice in the space of eight weeks ? just as they did in 2007."Comment

Down to 4 day games now in Sydney. It's a Sydney tradition that has been lost and is very disappointing IMO. 5 or 6 would be a better balance, better for young families. It's probably the end of a membership or two from me, it's simply not worth it for just 4 games.Comment

They have stuffed up the fixture Excel spreadsheet thing for the Club by Club.
States MCG on that one, two weeks in a row.
