Despite speculation that the club shareholders will take the final decision on relocation, the board appears resolved that such a historic and momentous move would take place without consultation from its members

Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.
It has to happen, and realistically for North, the sooner the better. They don't want to get to the point that the old South Melbourne got to, when survival wasn't guaranteed. They should take the bull by the horns, then at least they can be the masters of their own destiny.
Shame for the North die hards, i guess all the real South fans (as opposed to the blow ins who chatter a lot) who saw it happen would feel sympathy too.
They should call them the Northern Kangaroos, a name that has relevance to the Gold Coast but one that won't alienate Melbourne based supporters.
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
They should call them the Northern Kangaroos, a name that has relevance to the Gold Coast but one that won't alienate Melbourne based supporters.
This makes most sense because then people can still refer to them as 'the Northerners' or 'North'.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."
Shame for the North die hards, i guess all the real South fans (as opposed to the blow ins who chatter a lot) who saw it happen would feel sympathy too.
Good luck to them, hope it secures their future.
Nah Layby. I say @@@@ em!!! (Say it outright, then I can't be pinged for avoiding the swear filter)
Disregarding the rights and wrongs about the Sydney move.
They were one of the 11 who voted to send South to Sydney, disregarding the South members vote.
They were also one of the 11 clubs who held their hand out for the Docs millions, and then 7 years later were prepared to vote in favour of the demise of Sydney.
What goes around comes around. I have nothing but total contempt for ALL of the Victorian based clubs. The more of these parasites that are forced to piss off to faraway places the better. My only sadnness is that they will not be forced to endure the hardships that Sydney faced in their early years trying to establish themselves in a foreign market. No doubt the AFL hand holding will continue.
