I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

He can still face charges in the US.
Doesn't matter ... as long as he stays sacked from the budgie criminals, and he's not allowed to play footy anymore, I'll stay happy.
Edit: It's OK, the budgies still don't want him.
Eagles don't want Cousins back
The Eagles issued a statement saying: "This development does not change the club position or the decision made to terminate Ben's contract because of repeated and serious breaches of his agreement with the club.
"At the time the decision to terminate Ben's contract was made, it was emphasised that the decision was not dependent upon results of the police charges and that remains the situation. "

From the above article ....
That charge was later dropped but Cousins still faced a charge of refusing to take a driver drug test after being pulled over in Perth for allegedly driving erratically in a club sponsor's car.
Noice.
Cousins was the first driver in WA to be charged under new drug driver laws, which came into affect on October 12 this year, four days before he was charged.
Police said that after close legal scrutiny of the legislation, it appeared the wrong officer attempted the driver assessment of Cousins.
Under the new law, the assessment should have been conducted by the officer who saw Cousins driving the car.
But in this case, the detectives who stopped Cousins took him to the police traffic headquarters for advice and to be processed, police said.
"Consequently, even though Mr Cousins declined to participate in a driver assessment, the traffic officer who attempted the driver assessment had not observed Mr Cousins driving, and therefore was not the appropriate person to conduct the assessment," police said.
Police will now talk to WA Police Minister John Kobelke about ways to simplify the administration of a driver assessment so that any officer can do the assessment.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

The cops have offered Benny an apologyWTF for.The reason the charge got dropped was that the arresting officer didnt ask Benny to take a blood test, and under the WA Law he's the only one aloud too not another officer.

It's funny how a drug addict can make the law look like an ass. Laughable. It appears the one's who are hallucinating are the coppers and the legal fraternity.Comment

A lot of people used to go to gaol because they were stitched up by lazy or crooked cops. I'll take complicated procedure thanks. Cops should do their job properly - also gives them the he got off on a technicality excuse when they had no case in the first instance.Comment

Had no case in the first place? Where a car is driven erratically and the driver is suspected to be under the influence - and refuses to take a test, why is there no case in the first place?Comment
