haha we go from a history lesson to an argument on the success of recruiting.

Were you a fan of Chambers or Spriggs? let's get real here. You asked about Eade and I defended him. You are trying to use every argument possible to disprove my opinion and you wont be able to and obviously I wont be away to sway you, so my suggestion is to let it go mate.

You haven't got an arguement...Roos record, over 5.5 seasons to date, far exceeds Eades 7.5 seasons.....fullstop.
So if you want to make a serious comparison, then I suggest you look at all years. That includes 2003, 2005 and 2006.

So it is just Roos V Eade and that will prove Eade is a crap coach?

I give up, I can't win when the goal posts move every two seconds.

Rodney Eade turned this club into a club that expected to win and losing was not good enough anymore - what he created in the end was what killed him.

Comparing Roos and Eade - Roos will always win, he is our only Premiership coach in 72 years, but how that proves Eade is a bad coach is beyond me.

Moving the goal posts ?? No wonder you struggle with history....You were the one who dragged the Roos comparison into this debate...and now you say it's all beyond you. Rewriting this little bit of history already, you haven't wasted any time have you.

haha oh dear, you had no idea about the Roos situation in 1995, You seemed to 'forget' Goodes won a Rising Star under Eade and moved this discussion to suit your passion for proving Eade is a lousy coach.

I compared the worst of Roos to the worst of Eade, which is very similiar. Bad skills , boring games and painful losses. You bought the rest of it in.

I am very comfortable with my reasoning and hope Eade proves people like you wrong in 2008.

I can't forgive Eade for his crippling of Goodes, and if it wasn't for Roos setting him free, he wouldn't be a dual Brownlow medalist today. Plus like an earlier poster said, his "um's" and "ah's" were excruciating to listen to!

                  I agree with Damien.
                  About moving the goal posts.
                  Also about Eade.
I think the guy is a total tool.
I remember at a practice game I was sitting near the coaches box and we had to move because the person was there with was actually getting concerned with all the swearing coming out.
He was going totally off at a practice game.
Guess he is just that passionate.

Anyway, in the end I was sick of his game plan and it was clear that he was not able to get the Swans to where they needed to be anymore, and there was many rumours about disputes and grudges with player.
so I was happy to see him go.

However, he was, and was generally regarded as a great coach during his time with the Swans.
Indicating that Barassi's efforts reaped the rewards for Eade is lame.

Using that logic you'd have to say that Eade had a huge say in the Swans 05 flag win.......

By that measure Norm Smith was a bad coach. As was Ron Barrassi.
