One of the groups he is in is labelled "The Derek Zoolander group for people who are really really ridicously good looking". YES!!!!!!!!! A replacement for Shaun "I can't turn left " Dempster. That has helped to ease the pain.

I think there is still one more delisting date. So if Faulks is really, really unhappy he can be delisted and we can go in the pre-season draft and find one of the talls that are still left.

If we are close to maximum in the salary cap, then delisting Faulks won't allow us to do anything as he will need to be included in next years figures due to the minimum 2 year contract.

He has been retained and will play for us next year.

On those remarks Ugg there is a clear recognition by the coaches that our centre clearance players have lost it , never had it or are just planin not up to the task of getting their hands on the pill at centre ball ups.

                  I think we should be.

Grundy is the only tall player on our senior list who has come from our rookie list.
(Barlow is taller but viewed as more of a tall midfielder than a KPP)

We had Vogels but he was barely given a senior game and then delisted.

Hall cost us two first round picks.

                  Jolly cost us one.

                  Everitt a second rounder.

Richards cost us one as well and he's not shown much as a KPP.

Hell, we traded a second round pick for Chambers as well, look how well that worked out.

All those players that we adjudged good enough to trade first and second rounders for we're taken in the draft as 17/18 year olds.

A few years ago people we're saying similar things about Luke Vogels as to what is said about Jesse White now. There is no guarantee he will make it, and past him we have very little.

Sounds like the extra time was used to decide between Meredith and Otten.

Yep. And also suggests that Rance, Pears, Henderson, Collier and Grant were never really on their radar - although that might have been partly because they thought some of them wouldn't be available.

Some people are going to point to the list of talls that Roos talks of and claim it's a thin and speculative list. They're probably right. But I guess that if they didn't rate any of the taller prospects available this year, there was no point in getting one for the sake of it.

"Birdy has got an AFL body and has been in our system for 12 months now," Roos said.

"Veszpremi's playing weight is around 83 kilos so physically he's a bit more mature and Meredith is not a skinny kid but in terms of his body not as developed as the other two.

"But generally I wouldn't have thought those two would play senior footy next year."
Two of our new recruits wont be getting a game next year?

                          what's new?

But seriously, you would hope Braba, Thornton, Moore and Laidlaw really push on to get some senior games next year.

Vezza and Meredith have got more time on their sides, although i am extremely excited on what Vezza can do for us.

                            Yes, and yes.

You would seriously hope that at least one or two newbies will get some regular game time next season. Apparently we were the only team not to play a 2006 draftee last year. So the likes of Vezza and Meredith have little chance of playing next year, unless they are much better than any of us could imagine.

DOK spent much of the year injured. Currie hadn't left school. Faulks will fall over if you blew on him and even White's season was interrupted by a hand injury. For the only two newbie rookies, Smith - see Faulks and O'Dwyer had a late start too, due to injury.

I agree track record suggests they won't get a game but each of Moore, Phillips and Vogels debuted in their first year on the list so even with the recent run of good injuries and a relatively in-form team, some players have forced their way in in year 1.

Fair reasons why none have made it so far.

None of them really made much head way with their chances.
Moore has shown he has quick hands and a strong body. I would hope to see moore of him this year.
                                Phillips didn't do much.
And Vogels had that one great qtr against the dogs.
