Don't rate at all, too rowan Warfe-ish to me. Big trier but skills are severely lacking.

2/10. Will get caught out next year but i badly want to be proven wrong.

First pre-season in a long time will be very beneficial.

Yep, he is more of a Kirk type of write a begging letter promising to try really hard kind of player.

                  4/10.

3/10 Better than McCrap and Matthews. On par with Bevan.

                      4/10

Must have impressed the coaching panel enough to be given the opportunity to play consecutive games and then to be elevated to the senior list.

Having said that, I believe it is hard to really judge where Brennan's best position is. He does not have the size or mobility to fill the expected void at fullback that may occur from season 2010.

On the plus side he shows plenty of courage by backing into packs or filling the space in front of opposition full forwards. He also showed plenty of endeavours with attempted 'second efforts'.

On the negative, he is severely let down by very poor disposal by foot, his marking under pressure was 'hit and miss' and if I remember correctly missed too many attempted spoils.

Brennan should only expect limited game time in 2008. He will probably have to rely on injury to others to be named in the starting 22.

                      Cheers

2/10. Cant see what Roos saw in him really. Goes in tough but thats it. Didnt rate any of his performances and had a couple of games where he let his man have basically free reign in the forward 50 (not the only mind you!). I very much doubt he will be anything more then a bit player, and doesnt add a lot to the team I feel. I hope I am proved wrong, but I dont expect much from him. But however to his credit it wont be due to a lack of trying.

For a bloke who was put on the rookie list at the start of the season as speculative pick to come up and play a handful of games, and not do badly in most of them, is a good effort. I think where he was at the start of the year needs to be taken into account, but that Collingwood game -

I think it's a little unfair if some people have rated Brennan on the whole season, when he only played 5 games. I am just basing that on some of the comments posted in the thread. So it just anecdotal evidence, I don't know if that is actually what people have done.

As I said in mine, I rated him on the whole season, but that actually benefited him because I took into account where he had come from at the start of the year to where he finished.
Those that only considered the few games he played miss the full picture.
