    Lockett and Kelly.

Honestly don't think it could be any others. Lockett dragged people through the gates and brought so many new supporters to the game. Kelly needs no explaining.

Goodes and Roos next in line.

Kelly is a certainty. For the other my guess is that it won't be a current player - it's normal to wait till after retirement for these things. So it would seem to be either Lockett or Roos (though his status a current coach might rule him out).

I guess Capper would have to be a long shot - but I don't really think so - too many negatives in his history.

So Kelly (in his Brownlow year) and Lockett (either "that goal" or "that behind").

Maybe they should make statue of the pile of players just after "that behind".

When (eventually) Roos gets his statue it should show his "Here it is!" moment even though that wasn't actually at the SCG (unless he said it again on the Sunday). That's the moment has truly immortalised him as a Swan.

No, Adrian Battison Scott Russell & Nick Daffy would be far better.

And Jason Saddington-God's gift to football-even better again!

Seriously, a NSW AFL player in Paul Kelly & NSW resident & AFL record-breaker Tony Locket would get my nod to be honest.

Good to see the SCG Trust (finally) realising where their break is buttered.

bit harsh on saddo, remember due to poor recruiting he had to play on opposition monsters like carey, tarrent, tredrea and brown.he was picked up as a running tall from eastern ranges with clean hands and good disposal.would have been a better player if allowed to play in that role with us.

Lockett was part of the 2 greatest AFL moments to occur at the SCG so IMO, he would have to be one the statues.

Kelly is arguably the most inspirational AFL player ever to play for the Sydney Swans so he would be the other statue.

Couldn't quite fit in Paul Chambers or Stefan Cary. Oh well

Barry Round is another who comes to mind - pioneering captain of the team that relocated to Sydney.

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it was someone along these lines - Round would be a good one, or Dennis Carroll, maybe Ricky Quade.

But Kelly is simply a must IMO.

I think it would have to be Plugger & Kel. But I think Goodesy, Magic & Roosey would be equally good.

And maybe the men who secured the 2005 flag for us - "Leaping" Leo Barry & "Slick" Nick Davis.

Leo taking that memorable mark and Davis kicking that impossible goal! I can see that.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
