Hell, I knew ages before the decision that he was contemplating leaving.

    Perhaps Geelong took the risk.
You must have a big soft spot for the handbags to feel such passion for the decision.

How are you coping with the TAC/Wobbles problems?

You must despise the player that stuffed that up.
If geelong took the risk then they are idiots because now their 1 man down.I dont hate Nathan i just think that he made the wrong decision in terms of his carear, some times we all have to do things that we dont like.He could he persisted for say 5 years made a pretty penny then pulled the pin.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

But he doesn't want that. He doesn't want the pressure of being an AFL footballer. He's happy to play at a lower level.

Whether Geelong took a risk or not, that is their business. He probably informed them a while ago, as has been stated, they gave him sometime, and he made his choice.
It's not much different to the Swans re drafting Plugger. They took a risk and it didn't pay off.

In a nutshell - its Abletts life and he can chose what he wants to do with it.

the fact he was upfront, and true to himself - particularly for a bloke, that is to be admired. He only has to answer to himself (and maybe his mum if he misses her birthday or something )

You only get one crack at life - you might as well be happy. Way too many people do things in this life just to satisfy what others expect of them, Good on him for doing his own thing.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Decision is fair enough, he can do as he pleases.

They could possibly have kept King had he made his intentions clear earlier.
He ate more cheese, than time allowed

You turned everything I directed at you right back at me!!!!!
            Amazing stuff.
I mean, I made comments based on your comments and you threw them straight back at me with absolutely no basis or merit.

The world is absolutely with me as a general rule.

People on here are so precious that the decide to keep their opinions to themselves, and go and cry in their cornflakes.

RWO has always had it's arguments and crap in the off season.
If you don't like it take your own advice.

Give me a 'fact' that you have presented that has been unfairly not regarded in that way?
What? You want me to get in an off topic slanging match with you? Take it to PMs where u are allowed to get personal. Not on these boards

You are right. He has shafted his club in that respect.

C'mon get personal ... we need the entertainment!!

Look, it's better that he's decided to give it up now (albeit a little late to give his club a bit of a break) than to go back into it, not really want to be there, and do something stupid like disgraced ex-west coast eagles fallen star benny-boy. OK, not AS stupid, but you get the drift.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

If his heart wasnt in it he possibly has made the right decision but only time will tell.I wonder if the Cats still have to pay him,if that's case he has made a brilliant decision.
