Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

    5/10.

Disposal was ordinary at times, and didn't have the impact that he did in '05 and '06, but still had a reasonable year. If we were going to trade he or Schnedier - he was the one I wanted to keep.

Disposal was genuinely disturbing in 07. But the pace he added was quite important. I thought it was a below average year for him.

5/10 - Had a couple of 30+ disposal games but an average performance throughout most of the season.

Obviously not his best year but I thought he he was a bit stiff to spend so much time in the reserves. He was a huge factor in our success in '05 and '06 so let's hope he regains that form in '08. So glad he wasn't traded because he's a gun!

            4/10

His worst season since establishing himself as a senior player, by some margin.

Had one genuinely good game - against Melbourne. Plus against Essendon his workrate couldn't be faulted but his disposal was woeful. Two games against the Pies were terrible - definitely shown up by the newbie Irishman. Hardly surprising that he wasn't recalled for the final against them.

Slightly mitigating his performance was the fact that, like Ablett, I have no doubt he was injury affected. His knee injury early in the season seemed to set him back a bit, and there must be a question mark on whether he should have come back so quickly, or been allowed to properly recover.

When fit he is one of the few in the midfield who adds a little of that 'X factor'. Hope he can refind his mojo for 2008 because I reckon the Swans will stutter and splutter unless he does.

The "run the length of the field goal" against Melbourne was the Highlight for the year.

I like Monty but this year was far from his best, but he did get an injury early in the season,so i give him a 4/10.

C'mon Monty we need you firing in the midfield.

Very disappointing year. His mind was obviously elsewhere.

3.5/10 Compared to what he is capable of, this year was well below par except one excellent game against Melbourne. Really frustrating year for Bucky.

I've always like his creative streak. Hopefully that re-emerges next season. For 2007 - 5/10.

Love Monty ! Though was a real ordinary year, rested on what he achieved during 05/06. Monty is different from our slow , run with midfielders.
He a has something different a bit of creative urge and spunk to get things going though it doesnt always work he tries to break things open with some run.
Needs to improve his disposal though and kicking at goal especially set shots.
Hope he bounces back this year !

3/10. Lost something this year, although i think his spell in the two's helped. He could still burst out of the pack but not as consistently as previous seasons. Let's hope that 2007 was an anomaly.
