5 1/2 from 10. Knee injury knocked him around. A relentless competitor
with a lot of guts. Always hard at the ball never shirking the physical
contest. Disposal lets him down at times, but he would have been the hero
had it not been the extra padding on the goal post in the Essondon game at
the SCG. Looking forward to a better year from him.

I agree with the general consensus in this thread that Buchanan was well below his best in 2007.
Whether it was his knee or something else I don't know, but he just didn't seem to have the extra gear he had in previous seasons.
I have no doubt he can bounce back, but the way the season ended for him sums up the year he had.

        4/10.

I thought he was injury affected for most of the season and a fit and healthy Amon in season 08 will be a big plus for the team. I'm also very, very happy that he was not traded.

Has plenty of ability to get the ball and 'weave through traffic', but his disposal was awful. In general play he kick like he had a broken foot. He also didn't get into enough goal scoring positions.

I was very disappointed in his 'decision' lay the late and high bump when being thrashed by Marty Clarke in round 20 game.

                Must try harded.

                Cheers

Injury or not, he was @@@@. Needs to stop believeing his own press and start delivering what's expected of him. If he puts in a 2008 like 2007, expect to see him follow Schneider out the door. Though after two seasons like that, who would want him?
