    2007 Scorecard - #36 Tim Schmidt

What do we all think of Schmidt?

Does he have what it takes? Is he just waiting for an opportunity before he explodes? Or is he not quite there?

    Rate away..
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Looked better when he was closer to goal. Liked what I saw of him.

    6/10.

I like Schmidt. He has very clean hands and always seems to have oodles of time when disposing of the ball.
He needs some work defensively as can have people slip a tackle.
Agree with Scott that he is a fine kick at goal.
      6/10

14 games was a good result for a 2nd year player , though faded a little towards the end of the year.I rekon the Schmidt will be round for a while, still learning though has most aspects of the game.
Great kick at goal , tackles well , general reading of the game OK.
We have to persist with some of our kids now and he sticks out to me.

6/10 - Has real potential to be a regular in our side, had a great game against Brisbane in Round 3 with 19 disposals and 2 goals but disappeared slightly throughout the season. Should be given more time in 2008 to show us what he's really capable of.

6/10 from limited ground time. If I recall correctly his possessions to ground time compared to some of those er, rated players, was pretty good.

Would of liked to given him more but think he had a bit of success with the old "under the radar" strategy. Let's see how he goes next year. Hope I'm giving him a 8.5 this time next year. He may just do it.

I like Schmidt. On more than one occassion he was a link man in the transition from defence to attack. Looking forward to more good play over the next few years. 7/10

I'm right on the bandwagon. Looking for big things in 2008 and beyond. He kicks straight (when kicking for goal) which is something most of the others struggle with.

                        For 2007 - 6/10.

Does most things well. Looking forward to finding out if he can do at least one thing really really well and thus become a critical part of the team. Hope that "thing" might be extracting the ball from clearances.

6/10 - good contribution for someone still finding their feet. But that was his 4th year on the list so he needs to become close to undroppable very soon or others might pass him.

5.5/10 I really want to see him become undroppable and I believe he has this potential.
