The opportunities that Schmidt got, I thought he played pretty well, despite being dubbed 'fat arse' or 'the guy with the fattest arse in the AFL' by almost all and sundry in the media centre.
He seems to be a very smart player and given the opportunities I think he will make it.

great year - best newcomer - love it when he marks inside the 50. look for Tim Schmidt to be the eski of 2007 in 2008 (in terms of improvement anyway). 7.5/10Comment

I remember a few people questioning his disposal last year, but his disposal was very good I thought.
Only way for him to improve is for the coaches to give him more game time in 2008.

Pass. Solid year without doing anything that "wowed". Kicked well for goal that showed he could get into space. May be able to perform a Jude Bolton midfield role in the future, but with better foot skills!
