The Pies didnt lose the TAC,they ripped up the contract with the TAC because of their misdemeanors.Eddie said yesterday that they would still work with the TAC in promoting their message for niks.

Riiiggghhhhhttttttttt.

Eddie is better to be seen pulling the plug himself, rather than waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under him ... which would have happened had Eddie not acted first. This way, it looks like he's running a clean and tidy outfit - not Collingwood.

Promoting their message for nix means "we'll put your logo on the front of our shirt for free". I can't see Maltmouth mentioning TAC in his future reports from alpha centuri.

Humiliation at Collingwood

Am I alone in thinking the way players in this , and in fact, in most codes are humiliated when they get paraded in front of the media. They have to apologise to the club, to their mates, family, sponsors and everyone who ever walked past them.
I accept that if u carry the Road safety sponsorship, u have to be extra careful. I accept that the law is the law. I accept that they have been irresponsible and indeed criminal.
I do NOT accept the extra humiliation heaped on them by their money hungry management. These guys are punished by the law...any extra humiliation is unfair. Eddie Mcguire was so sanctimonious at this kids press conferebnce..made myt skin crawl!

He blamed the loss of sponsorship on this kid solely, yet it was past transgressions from other players that led to this being the final straw.

Welcome to the world of being held responsible to your stupid 19 year old decisions - not only legally, but through public humiliation.
the kids should be punished way more severely than he will be by the courts, as it could have been one of my family members he may have killed if he wasn't pulled up, but he was treated way too harshly by the Wobbles.
They certainly didn't offer him any protection from the media spotlight, and ironically this will probably help him develop in to a much more responsible player and maybe future leader of the club.

If I recall Richmond lost this same sponsorship before they went to Collingwood due to a player drink driving.

This kid new they were skating on thin ice and he goes and does something stupid like that which IMO makes it even more stupid.Then he lies about what actully happend"i was just moving the car for a mate,so i got two of my mates to keep me company" These young kids at football clubs probly have it drilled into them more than any other kids their age and he still doesnt sink into his thick head.
Its good that he gets humiliated publicly because now it might actually sink in.
