"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.
Carey is a wanker. Carey is a wanker.
(C'mon O'Reilly Stand ... back me up!)
My mother (who doesn't particularly follow AFL other than "did the swans win") - as soon as I walked in from a weekend away last night, said "that Carey is a wanker bloke is in trouble. It was on the news".
Ah bless!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
I was away on a brief sojourn and caught glimpses of the news headlines, after reading that article I have to say
* the way the media were portraying it initially led me to believe that Carey had assualted his girlfriend (they were pushing hard on "Police called to domestic dispute involving Wayne Carey")
* ignoring reasons why he wanted her removed, and whether it was right or wrong, if Carey wanted his girlfriend removed from the apartment and she would not leave then it is probably good that he called the police instead of forcibly removing her himself
* 5 police cars seems a little bit of overkill
and I don't particuarly like Carey at all!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Have I missed a slew of seemingly on topic posts being deleted as off topic?

Fact is Carey didn't call the police, he called the concierge to have a female removed by security. The concierge called the police to attend. So the police would only have information that suggests a dispute / altercation is taking place at that address and then they were confronted by Carey who has been arrested for the actions he took.
5 cars is still a lot, I was only basing my comments based on reading that article which says Carey called them.

This is the VICTORIAN police after all ... you know - shoot now, ask questions later.

Perhaps it's the information they received. They could have been of the opinion that there was a disturbance of the peace - a la that tool Corey and his party. Dunno.....just depends what message was relayed.
Really? Would have thought they'd have a DOC......
No No, You have a DOC not to bring that up again.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
