    Pre-Season News

Where can I find out what is happening with the pre-season training and preparation.....how players are shaping up etc. The Swans site has not had the player info updated from last year. I do not live in Sydney so don't see any newspaper articles on the Swans. Can anyone help?

I don't know what's going on either. Haven't heard anything about pre-season training since November.

That's funny. The fact they are serious makes it doubly

I live in Sydney and never see any newspaper articles on the Swans!!

They're training. They were doing boxing last week and we got a fantastic picture of a very, very, very buff Goodsey.
The Blind Barry Hall Hall ads are back on TV. Last night's was Blind Barry being driven in the golf cart by Spida teaching everyone how to bounce the ball every 15 metres.

        Footy's nearly here!!!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Talking of ads, my all time favourite ad is back.

The VW Golf ad and the coffee stained salesman. Can't help but laugh every time I see it.

I play cricket, still a few games left so I'm not over it.

I'm over watching it on TV though.

Quite enjoying the fact that cricket will finish only a week or so before the footy starts!!

its not that I dont enjoy the cricket, and use to love playing it but havent for a couple of years now (dodgy shoulder means my bowling is now totally useless and it was the only thing that was even close to respectable when I played), just cant get enthused this summer over the internationals. First we had the Sri Lankans in a no contest and now the whingeing Indians and now the combo of the two when the one dayers come round!
Not that I wont still watch plenty of it, just far more looking forward to footy coming back, even though I dont hold anywhere near high expectations for this season.

Who needs a newspaper when we can use our own unreliable sources on RWO to garner information.

However, I have heard from a source close to the club that they will be training next week and it will involve some running and possibly kicking a ball. I will update when I can get this confirmed

hope they haven't gone too early with the ball work.

In the absence of anything interesting from the club, I think we should just make up Swans news.

In that regard, Swans are expected to trial in the pre-season a new team structure to combat flooding, with a 6-man roving half-back line structrued around Bolton, MM and Goodes. Barry Hall will also be moved to a permanent wing position and Spida to hold down a tall Full Forward position.
