I doubt we had a passenger. Some of our disposal in the last half was less than ordinary, but Hawthorn forced us wide in the second half and unfortunately our blokes didn't wake up that the wind is very flukey at that ground. seasoned players as well as the inexperienced kicked it out on the full.
Ed Barlow - missing in action and a very poor kick out in the last Q.
Thornton and Brabazon were everywhere in the last Q and what I liked was they have pretty clean disposal (Brabazon's 2 OOF though). They both appear to have very big motors.
Mattner - pick up of the year.
LRT is back - very good.
Faulks - Ok, and I thought he had gone home.
Bird - must play round 1 on that game. Got class and who said he was slow last year.
Jack - couldn't question his endevour, 18 stats, but boy does he spray it.
White - KPP perhaps, very athletic.
Grundy - top game on Buddy although the later missed a lot of set shots.
Buchanan - I thought he showed that he is switched back on for 2008.
Lack of height beat us in the end with no options in front of goal. Great effort and great running shows the club is very fit.Comment

How is there any difference in doing a knee in round one of the NAB Cup or round one of a 25 game AFL season? In both cases you're out for a year."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

I know it is a small difference but I'd rather a player do a knee in a game that actually counted towards something.....rather than a bloody mockery of a competition.Comment

I am very happy with the effort of the Swans today - haven't been this excited about a NAB cup game for a long time.
The young blokes we had in tried very hard and made a few skill errors but that is to be expected when the pressure is on.
Bad luck for Malceski - he would've had a blinder this year I reckon. But the positive to come out of the game for me is O'Dwyer - to quote someone.......he is "Special" - he will make it. Maybe he will have a spot on the list now with Mal's bad injury.
Chins up - here are the blokes who didnt play: Ablett, Barry, Bolton, Crouch, Everitt, Fosdike, Goodes, Hall, Jolly, Kennelly, Kirk, O'Loughlin and Richards.
Good effort Bloods.Comment
