without everitt the midfield need to step up even more and ruin any advantage gained by opposition ruckmen.

Its time to give a run kid some time in the ruck anyway i hope the opportunity isnt avoided with stop gap measures like lrt and richards playing ruck time for instance.
Theres not much left to say

Dont forget people we just paid a huge amount to keep Jolly he'll handle it ok,and we can use LRT to ruck down back and Bazza up forward as back ups.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Ummm.... I know we all like to pretend sometimes that he doesn't exist... But aren't we forgetting Jolly??? He is still our number 1 ruckman, even with Everitt in the side. To be honest, I don't think Spida could carry the ruck duties alone like Jolly does. I'd be more concerned if it was Jolly who was out. Spida is only ever going to play 16 -18 games a year for us anyway...

as bad as this news is, as pointed out we still have jolly. He is our no 1 ruckman and he will simply have to stand up even more. Hopefully one of the young blokes will get an extended run in the pre season to see if he is up to it, but it might be a matter of jolly trying to carry the load for a while by himself. He has done it more then adequately before so why not again.

People are forgetting about Jolly's season in 2006 (no, not the grand final). He seemed to step up alright as the number one ruck. And it's safe to say he didn't have too much support when you have Donkey mainly on the sidelines and the one and only Torture Chambers.

The Swans have known about Spida not playing for ages and Jesse White has been primed for about four weeks to ruck.

Received a tip yesterday that Jolly wouldn't be playing either this week, but no confirmation yet.

Jolly's been listed as a non-starter for this weekend in every article on the Swans' depleted line-up. Roos has mentioned him as one who will be ready the following week.

Sorry, I should have been clearer, but I have heard he wont be ready for NAB Cup/PreSeason at all.

Currie has stacked on alot of muscle over the preseason, it'd take a freight train to snap him in 2.

Fremantle's Robert Warnock made his debut when he was still a beanpole and did very well.

There's no reason why Currie can't do the same.

It's amazing how many people on this board know more about football than every single person at the Swans. I am truly astounded as the why they have yet to get jobs in the football world.
