Craig Bolton to be Swans' 3rd co-captain in 2008

    Just reported on 2UE

Good choice me feels. Goodes can work on not being lousy for the first half of the season.

Congrats to B2. Very much deserved given his performances on the field practically ever since he came to Sydney. His off-field efforts would also seem to be an indication of the kind of person he is!!!

I only hope that Goodesy has been given good feedback as to why he missed out and what he needs to do (or not do) to get his opportunity...assuming of course that it is something he desperately wants to do

good choice if we must have three captains, shows how well he has done since leaving brisbane.

I still think 3 captains is stupid
Theres not much left to say

I think Craig is a good choice, however what happened to the previously stated logic of having captains all over the park?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Good point - Davo was the ideal choice.

It's probably Leo's last year so he will replace him from 09 onwards as the defensive captain. Goodes maybe a shot next year? I dunno.

Congrats to C Bolts though. Excellent on field consistency and best of luck as captain. Gun.

                NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

                On ya B2.

Goodsey can replace Leo Barry next year.

Have you informed the match committee that that will be ok?
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

I think the fact that we had a Fwd cap, a mid cap and a back cap was by chance and not actually a concious decision by Roos et al.

Craig deserved to be chosen for his leadership ability and not rejected because he doesnt play in the forward line.

Well, the match committee and I haven't sat down yet to discuss my decision in full, but I can't see them having much of a problem with it.

Anyhews, it takes the pressure off Goodsey a bit so he can get his third Brownlow this year.

Craig Bolton to be Swans' 3rd co-captain in 2008

I don't think this has been posted yet?

Bolton named Swans' third captain - realfooty.com.au

Craig Bolton will be Sydney's third captain for the upcoming AFL season, coach Paul Roos announced today.

Bolton will join co-captains Leo Barry and Brett Kirk in the club's leadership group, replacing Barry Hall, who opted to step down from the role.
                            Well deserved.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Bugger, it has been. Was it in a different forum, or did I have selective blindness?

A mod can merge this one into the other.
