paul roos is under afl investigation for apparently instructing his team, via a message through mcveigh in the last 2 minutes against hawthorn, to "not kick a goal"
afl says he's undermining the NAB Cup, not sure what else is being said
story will break tomorrow
roos apparently sent mcveigh on to replace bevan with 2 mins to go in the game, and told him to tell the team "go forward but don;t kick a goal"
he may as well have done it in code, by telling mcveigh "just play your normal game"
Not sure what this was about.
Clearly taking off the courageous and go to man Bevo and replacing him with the useless McVeigh wrecked any chance of a win. The evidence is overwhelming

Is this the greatest oxymoron of the 21st century?
Oxymoron: A figure of speech by which a locution produces an effect by a seeming self contradiction.
Connolly, your level of sarcasm in describing Bevo is refreshing.
doesnt sound like much of a performance but ah well not worried at all unless we back it up with another bad effort next week. Some of the comments on that tigers website link are pretty funny, would of thought they actually won a game that has some significance at all! Sounds like Ed Barlow had a good one which is good, be very disappointed if he and Bird arent in the team for Rd 1.
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."

Might be a bit early in the century to make that call. However Bevo's place in the history of the game is ensured. He will be known as they player that had to be taken off the paddock to stop us winning. Legend
Anyone??? Surely it wasn't that bad. Who played, who sucked, who is our new superstar?
Who did Richo towel up? Who were the hapless midfielders playing on Foley and Tambling?
Did anyone play well in being soundly beaten by Richmond...unlikely as that seems (the playing well I mean).
Was it the youngsters or Dad's Army who had the majority of game time (especially in the middle).
Cheers

Oh dear...
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore
Only report I took interest in was the injury report. Thankfully there weren't any.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
