I think a lot of people tend to forget he's a very handy ruck man. OK he's not the best going around, but he'd make plenty of other teams as 1st pick ruck man.

King is a good player that can ruck, but not the best ruck man going around. Gardiner has had two years on the side lines, let's see what happens.
Spot on there RP,i dont think people are giving credit where credit's due.Jolly is a very good ruckman just not the best so he will hold his own,i've got no doubt about it.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

I think what he means is Gardiner + King > Jolly + Pinch hitter
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Nah, that would have to be a last resort. While he has shown he is good enough to do it, he has not really played in the ruck for a few years. I prefer to see him running amok ala 2006 rather than in the ruck ala 2003.

Whilst I agree it would have to be as a last resort, don't forgoet he won his first Brownlow after spending the year playing the ruck.

We'll get smashed in the ruck division unless Jolly plays out of his skin. Both King and Gardiner were in fine touch last week, and gave their onballers excellent first use.
