Strange. Carlton and Richmond are playing - odds on to be a blow out one way or the other...

Quarters tip and marging is reflective of the majority opinion out there, it baffles me to no end - while I will be tipping the Saints (and hoping I'm wrong), I find it very hard to swallow that even the Age experts tip 100% for St Kilda.

Saints had a great pre season and won the cup - granted, we got knocked out in the first round - granted, but we did beat them last time we played (yes they had injuries but so did we).

To make matters worse there's 11% of their experts who can make a case for Port over Geelong and we all remember last time they played.

I'm getting frustrated - maybe I'll change my tip

They are probably basing it on our excellent pre season form, compare to the Saints.

And our track record in the early rounds is not that flash.

Why? It doesn't mean they still won't be supporting the Swans. They just think that in this particular game, the opposition is more likely to win than the Swans. Getting angry at fellow supporters who tip against the Swans is just blatant one-eyed fanboyism.

So you think the Swans will win every game?
Tipping is who you think will win not necessarily who you want to win.

I think in order to have any chance at winning a tipping comp you have to tip with your head and not your heart. There wouldn't be too many Carlton or Richmond supporters winning (except for a 50% chance tonight) if they purely tipped with blind faith.

I have tipped the Saints this week but truly hope with all of my heart that the boys prove me wrong.

I don't think my loyalty towards the club or my level of support comes into question at all as it is not as though my tip has any influence on the result.

But feel free to be mad - passion is a good thing! Especially if we're both passionate about the bloods, thing is we just have a different way of displaying it.

                              Of course it doesn't.
I think people who can tip with their head have a better chance of winning a footy tipping comp than me, as I blindly tip the Swans every week.

Although I kicked a lot of butt and won in 96

I think I am just happier expecting them to win every week.
After all, there is a chance we will win every week (however small)
