super impressive but I thought he was the couple of times he played last year (Or was it only one last season too long ago!). Fairly composed around the ground, good disposal generally and can go in hard and tough. That bump was brilliant, one of them every week and Ill be more then happy! Looks like a real hard nut but has some skill as well and could very well be a very good player for us. Has to do it week in and week out now, but for me was BOG for Sydney tonight.
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."
Very impressive - Much more confident than his handful of games last year. Very willing to attack the ball and back himself.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out.... Des' Weblog
it's amazing the gulf between him and that bevan. Both come from Rugby League backgrounds yet Jack is so much classier than bevan. Even the way he bumps!
Bevan thinks he is still playing League most times.
How proud would have Gary been tonight you reckon? Was one of my favs when he played and am proud of the way Kieren played showing the determination of his old man.
Also wasn't Craig Bird gonna be the swans next big thing? Didn't seem like it!!
I reckon young Craig learnt a thing or two about the pace of AFL footy tonight. He'll be better for it. Showed a couple of nice touches before he got pinged for holding the ball - then went into his shell a bit after that.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."
