He just about lost them the game twice in the last qr - in my books that can cancel out a lot of positives. I thought he had a veyr quiet night.

I thought he had a pretty poor game, and I wanted him to miss that last shot naturally, but I felt sorry for him when he totally stuffed it.

I totally agree with you on that one.

I was also dissappointed when Schneider was booed other than when he was lining up a shot for goal in the crucial final quarter, when he was fair game (and apparently copped some sledging on the field as well).

He didnt really look like he wanted to be out there on Saturday night.

And boy did he stuff it, it was the worst shot of the night.

I was sitting amongst quite a large contingent of Swans fans and I didn't hear any booing aimed at him apart from when he was lining up for goal. We did have one absolute idiot of a Saints fan near us though that booed Hall every chance he could. His main mission for the night however, was to try and get a rise out of all the Swans fans by telling us all in no uncertain terms how Schneider had made the RIGHT DECISION to leave the Swans and play for a REAL football team.
The highlight of my night was when Schneider was lining up for that shot in the final quarter, the idiot started going on and on about what a brilliant player Schneider was and how he was going to be a superstar now he was surrounded by champions. When he missed the kick, I turned quickly to give him a spray, but I didn't need to, the look on his face was priceless and, surprise surprise, he was pretty quiet after that, didn't even carry on like a jerk when the siren sounded.

Booing Schiedner is so "lower class". It reminds me of those Collingwood supporters who STILL boo when Nick Davis touches the ball.

I felt disappointed for Schneider. He would have heard the "booing" in the last quarter.I was disgusted to think people have such short memories.I also noticed that the Swans players didn't exactly go over to him after the match.I guess they may have been quite upset.A couple of our blokes shook his hand, mostly our young blokes. He looked lost and walked over to his new teamates who made a fuss of him.
Shame on some SWAN SUPPORTERS..you are not the real deal!

I don't have a problem with booing or clapping the opposition - all part of footy. It's not high tea with the Queen nor is it ever going to change - doesn't make me think any less of the crowd for doing it or think about them after the game (unless someone posts something like this or the SMH blog). Everyone is just caught up in the moment and supporting their team. It's pretty harmless and all part of the drama and passion.
I'd much rather that than hear the swearing and abuse too many in the crowd like to yell out at both teams and umpires.

I actually thought the opposite. I thought our boys seemed to make quite a determined effort to shake his hand after the game.

Will there be boos this weekend for a former son?
