    Davis

Will davis get his spot back next week? How did he look in the ressies?

i would never of dropped him in the first place, but presuming theres no injuries would be hard to fit him back into a winning side. Id be tempted to drop grundy for davis perhaps.
Theres not much left to say

After that performance today, I can't see him getting back for next week. I too thought dropping him was a mistake, but I think it would be very, very unfair to drop anyone from that team today.

He wont be back next week IMHO,how could he be we won big today.

      Grundy was ok today.

Cheese did a great job and he chases and tackles.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Given it's another "discipline" thing, Davis will be out for a few weeks I suspect. I didn't really see anything that Barlow did that Davis didn't, and I don't think dropping him added anything to the team. I suspect he will be back though (although it was pretty ridiculous to drop him after just 1 week anyway).

Has Abletts' fitness improved at all this week?

Grundy kicked something, Barlow did some things, Bevan kicked a couple playing up forward, and almost evertyone contributed something but in a game where Port floundered and we played a rare attacking mindset it doesn't prove much (remember the proud display against Hawthorn only to be trashed in the finals?) I'd much rather have Davis in our forward line at any time.

Barlow can't get dropped, but I'd happily replace Grundy with Davis. How did Ablett go?

Just average I thought. Had a few possessions, did little with them, low efficiency rate as usual.

Grundy was more than serviceable, played well against Westhoff, who received some very soft free kicks I might add, and kicked well across half back. Also kicked an impressive goal.

Ablett didn't do much at all

EDIT: Wow Ablett had 16 disposals - Jack had 9 and i thought he was waayyy more effective!

Yep - it's a positive step, but means little by itself.

Saw a bit of Davo in the ressies, he looked his usual self, very good footy player. I saw a good smother and a missed goal near the end. Then I saw a very dominant Seniors team smash last season's grand finalists. I seriously look forward to Davo proving his worth in that company. We will be awesome>

I've read nothing but the line "team balance". Maybe the balance was right today and next week the "team balance" means he comes back in. In honesty I doubt this is 2006 repeating itself off the field other than the fact Davis got dropped.

Davis was ordinary in the 2's, with a capital 'O', although thx to Telstra changing the time on my alarm in the middle of the night, therefore waking up an hour later than I should of, + the early kickoff I arrived shortly before half time.

For those who think Ablett did little, you should consider not posting and save yourself further embarrassment.

16 possessions, half of which were ineffective. Did a reasonable defensive job.
