You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I could put it next to my print of 'The Scream'. They're both scary.

Thing is we still scored a couple of goals against that setup. When we are on song we can find space anyway, even in the flooded confines of an SCG forward line. Our boys need to remember that next time we are up against some serial flooders.

How we back that up on Saturday night will be interesting. It should be a cracking game but if we can limit the output of Bradshaw and Brown then we should hopefully win. We really should of won up there last year- some dreadful skill errors really let us down at crucial times.

I just hope the boys and Roos look at what we did on Sunday and say "more of that please". You could probably count on one hand the amount of times we fiddled with the ball across the half back/centre area of the field. It was a pleasure to watch us take them on properly and they didnt have a hope. Play like that against Brisbane and I reckon the result wont be much different- although Brisbane probably will get a bit closer as they have the beast that is Brown. But well I'd take an ordinary performance and a win this week for another run of the Port game next week against the Weagles. I would take such great satisfaction from seeing us smash those Coke boys well and truly!

But all in all, I think some have read too much into it, but there was a hell of a lot to like with what we saw at the SCG on Sunday. Simply put, that should be how we aim to play every game of the season. If we can do that more times then not, then we will be right in it later in the year.

Zero opposition pressure helps with that!

I don't about your definition of 'fiddled with it' but there were quite a few attempts to switch play from one side to the other. A number of these passes really made the receiver work for the ball. If Port had put on any pressure there could quite easily have been a few turnovers.
                or as NMW said

that is true but I the way I was thinking of it was more in a positive frame in which they werent looking every time to go along that route. Port didnt apply enough pressure granted, but more often then not we looked for a more direct faster route to goal. That was what I liked. I wont be happy until they stop doing it completely- that is unless its to switch play straight away!

So basically you think we should take it one game at a time?

Yeah I suppose they weren't doing it to play 'tempo footy', they were just trying to find a way forward.
