    Spear Tackling

Apparently Bedford suggested that Chad Cornes spear tackled one of our players. If this is true, why wasn't he looked at? That is 100x's worse that whatever Goodes did and should be investigated by the dimwits at the AFL.

Now, a Port Adelaide has a history of being reported from a spear and here's proof. Burgoyne out three for 'throw' - realfooty.com.au

Isn't a spear tackle worse than whatever Goodes did?

Why isn't Cornes being investigated for? I bet if it was a Swans player, it would be bloody different.

Admitting you can't remember it, isn't exactly admitting you're wrong.

Grim, considering you have admitted not seeing the 'spear' you have had a lot to say about it, including starting it's own thread.

It was NOT a spear tackle at all. Cornes tackled Mattner ball and all, pinned his arms and drove his shoulder into the ground. It was not a particularly vicious act, but the exact same thing has drawn criticism in the past, I think Byron Pickett was involved, as the tackled player is invariably dumped on their shoulder unable to protect themselves. It's a broken collarbone/AC injury waiting to happen.

Cornes has no case to answer.

If Pickett was investigated for it, why not Cornes? Oh wait Pickett was a naughty boy, Cornes is too soft, to get reported.

Headland did the same thing to a Hawthorn player too.

They normally investigate a Fremantle player, even if they sneeze on an opponent.

What's Cornes doing tackling anyway? He's too soft for tackling?
