Tadgh a bit quieter in that term. Kirk and Goodes very busy. McVeigh's had a lot of it (and thus, alot of clangers too). Ablett's done some nice things but his awareness is shocking. Davis in for Jude next week!

Mc Veigh is a HFF - changing onto the ball (simliar to Kevin Bartlett)

            Half time.

            Swans lead 7.4.46 to 5.4.34.

Pretty ordinary second quarter. We managed 4 goals but they were right at the beginning and end of the quarter and we wasted it a lot between times. We seem to be overpossessing it and missing too many targets.

Kirk playing well - getting a lot of possessions and stopping Black.

Ablett doing okay. Has had the ball (effectiveness probably not high), but more importantly has limited Lappin's influence.

Jack doing a superb job on Power.

Buchanan has struggled to get into the game.
J Bolton has had minimal influence.
McVeigh has had a lot of the ball (and is running around by himself), and has done a couple of nice things, but too many clangers or ordinary disposal.

            Very excited by Barlow's prospects.

Kennelly started really well, but fell back a bit this quarter.

Goodes has been trying hard to get involved, but has only had a few cameo influences.

We need to move the ball forward quicker and more crisply.

            We've had 204 possessions to 119. I50s 21 to 26 (Brisbane's favour).

That was tough watching for a while. Good play by brisbane to get back in it. Not too difficult to work out how to beat the swans - put hard pressure on and try to force turnovers.

But what is encouraging is that whilst they got 4 goals, so did we. So at least we didn't have one of those bad quarters where we don't score a goal or only score 1. If we can improve in the second half I think we can win...

But lest I jinx us let me add that the football gods will be against us, we have got a couple of goals we maybe shouldn't have.

Would LRT get a game at any other club? Or Jude Bolton f.or that matter? Glad to see Moore playing well, and McVeigh (and Trav - I wish we'd picked him up).

I've switched it over to the other match at half-time and they just threw up the half-time score for the Swans match. Heh.

Regarding our game tonight, I think Bird's playing his best match of the season so far.

That says a lot about how the Swans are playing.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

I think people are underestimating how much the Lions picked up their pressure skills. Still think the Swans are playing well.

And McVeigh's good stuff is far outweighing his mistakes. He is genuinely creating stuff and finally looking like a confident senior footballer.

Super kick from young Bulldog to end the quarter.

Possibly, but I find it frustrating when he unnecessarily wastes it. We'll see how he goes in the second half because I can't imagine they will leave him with so much space again.

I reckon LRT sometimes helps by being so un-coordinated and actually getting in the opposition's way - totally not meant of course. He must be the clumsiest footballer in the AFL. He is definitely no ruckman - hasn't got a clue!

The Swans have played well, but a number of costly clangers has helped Brisbane.

Like Barlow - has confidence and backs it up

Goodes - playing well enough to earn votes

Moore - keeps running - backs himself

Bevan - presents and keeps running (I admit I'm not a fan club member)

                                Matner - linking well

B2 - playing above weight once again

Leo - FFS - go away

LRT - shouldn't be back up ruck

                                Amon - running and running

B1 - getting in and under plus linking

Captain K- linking but no influence

Jolly - limited influence - playing one out

                                BBH - keeps running

There are more but running out of electrons
