Am coming to Sydney for the West Coast game. How does Members Reserve work and how do you get a second ticket for a guest (I have a country membership)?. The website talks about bringing guests and refers to Ticketec but I can't see anything about it. Anyone know?
Members Reserve - How does it work

You need to go to a ticketek office and show your membership card to buy extra seats in members reserve, you can't get them over the net. Most of the time they don't ask to see it but you can bet your life that if you don't have it, they'll want it. -

Nolie, you could save yourself the trouble and just buy a ticket for any seat around the ground. Unlike the SCG, access to the Members Reserve area at the Olympic Stadium is possible from any entrance point around the ground and I've never been checked when I've brought friends into that area.Comment

It's like this. You cough up some cash at the start of the year to the club of your choice. In return, they give you this plastic card that may or may not entitle you entry to some, none, or all of the games for said club at one ground, another, or several.
That's pretty much how it works.Comment

Re guest passes for the SCG, the membership magazine seemed to suggest they were available this year (and I certainly got some last year). I think they didn't get as many sold out games last year so relaxed it half way through the season.
Ring the membership department, they are usually very helpful.Comment

I have had no trouble in getting tickets from ticketek for the Homebush games, in fact last year I bought about 10 on my memebership for the Collingwood game.(although I had Aussie Anges & Old Roy Boys membership numbers on me just in case - but they weren't needed)
Just ring ticketek, quote your membership number, pay by visa and they will email the tickets too you . all you have to do is print them off as they have the bar coad on them. easy peasy!I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Thanks for all of that sound advice. A note for "interstaters' - well Perth people anyway- I rang SS membership Dept - most helpful - the pass I required was a "Members Reserve Guest Pass". They are not available over the internet (because theoretically you should show your members card). Went to a Ticketec outlet in Perth and after some trial and tribulation with the operator - telling her exactly what I needed- she found it on her ticket computer. Hope I get a decent seat as I understand it is "first in, best dressed" in the MR.Comment
