Strange wasn't it. The Hall incident and the fact the Eagles had nothing to offer took a lot of gloss off the win.

About as much atmosphere as a morgue, partly due to the incident but mainly due to the match being out of the Weevils reach by half time.

Indeed! How am I supposed to sleep now?

Cheese's second goal was probably the highlight of a fairly lacklustre second half. Weagles didn't offer a lot tonight, their current woes appear to be a mixture of forward line structure, still adjusting to life after Cousins/Judd, Kerr being well held tonight and Cox carrying an injury. Still good to beat them again though

As for next week, I'm sure we'll be competitive against Geelong at the very least, winning is possible, but you can be sure the Cats will make us pay if the players produce the sorts of brain farts that they were guilty of at times tonight.

Hansen and Lynch should both be dropped. Bryce Gibbs is more threatening than those two.

Hansen didn't seem to want to mark overhead for some reason. However Teddy did a brilliant job on him and got 25 touches himself.

Yeah Lynch is useless, he usually kicks one goal, or does something good in a game, then thats it.. he does nothing after that. hes as weak as a bording house cup of tea.

Dont worry, the swannies will throw everything at geelong, we are the lock-down specialists. last year we only lost by 20 points from memory?

I think Jude bolton has gotta lift his game, hes done nothing this season. It would be good to see Buchanan in good form against geelong, hes so hard at the ball.

Jack, Barlow and Mattner are showing VERY promising signs this year, but time will tell after we take on the benchmark team (geelong)

I havent read this entire thread but am surprised by some of the posts I've seen criticising Sydney's performance, especially in the second half. The scoreboard tells the story. While West Coast had the ball down in their forward half more often in the 4th quarter than Sydney, the number of behinds they scored was in part due to the unrelenting pressure of our superb defence. The only two negatives I can think of from the game were Bazza's brain snap and Luke Brennan's kicking (dear oh dear - back to the ressies he goes).

While I dont expect to beat Geelong I do think that we're a chance if we continue to play the way that we have been. And I think that Geelong will see us as a very serious threat. Next weeks game should be a cracker!

All in all a good win. Second half was a little boring but that was only because the game was already over and the weagles were not capable of putting up any sort of fight. My only criticism apart from Bazzas brain snap goes to Leaping Leo. He has to be more decisive with his possesions and stop dancing around and getting himself into trouble. But, as I said at the start a very satisfing victory. Bring on Geelong!

We one by 10 goals ,which we should of considering the opposition. Were we that good ?? I dont rekon, though apart from the Barry thing we got the job done. We won without playing that well and we got another week into the kids. Thought Marty Mattner was good,Tadgh, Leo and Mick O was at his best.
Teddy Richards is playing his best footy at the club and Keiran Jack can take a bow on the job he put on Kerr.
Real test next week against the premiership favorites,.
We will stick fat I rekon, with the Hal thing that will play out all week ,I rekon it will give us a steely resolve and we can match the Cats.
We feed off that negative crap well.
Troy West will be gone on his bump on Clarke , as will Gamble on his left jab and Mooney will be looked at as well.
