    Tribunal defence for Bazza

We all know he would be best served taking the early guilty plea.....but if he were to try and put in some kind of defence....what would it be?

I'd go for "I was preparing for life after footy in the ring".

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I like it , Mike , but I'd go with this one :

"That Eagles defender tried to break my knuckles by striking them with his chin".

Can you plead guilty but argue mitigating factors?

If so he could argue provocation and lack of intent to actually connect with Staker's head since he didn't appear to be looking where he was striking.

He may not get the opportunity of an early plea; the matter could be referred straight to the tribunal.

And it should be! I'm still fuming for his lack of judgement. I thought he'd have outgrown his anger management issues, but it looks to me that his future career is in the ring not on the footy field.

Does anyone know what Staker did to antagonise Hall?

Apart from being all over him like a cheap suit not much.
Hall was trying to free himself from the holding with no result, and then the brain snap.

He's a "high"-flying weagle, what other provocation would you need...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Will be referred to the tribunal straight away, so no chance of an early plea.

Got up too quickly, not enough force behind it.

Maybe gave him a few reminders about the 2006 GF , and Hall all but handing them the flag, with his hopeless form that day.

Barry could have countered that by mentioning Stakers performance in the '05 GF.

Staker could nearly have won the Norm Smith he was so good for us.
