I heard on the radio that Hall is to resign his position in the leadership group and so he should.

I have been away for 3 weeks and haven't got involved in the RWO debate on his case, but he proved to me once and for all time that he has no leadership skills. He might be a tough hard footballer but has a vacuum up top when it comes to any cognative brain function.

My first reaction to the incident was: "how much has this bloke let down the team and it's supporters".

It was purely and simply a dog act and showed what a selfish individual he is.

Here we are playing bloody darn good footy and this prat lets fly and potentially turns all that on its head. He apologised to Staker but I haven't heard him apologise to his team mates or supporters. Correct me if I have missed something while I was away.

Don't spend all your money before you retire Barry because no one will be running after you to give you a job.

The positive to all this is we have 10 weeks to see if the forward structure of the future can be moulded without the Einstein of the team.

You have no idea of his leadership skills unless you know him, or have an insiders point og view into the club and the leadership he provides for the rest of the players.
I'd suggest that he wasn't given that position without possessing leadership skills.
Goodes still isn't in that group, so it certainly is not based on form. It is based on one's ability to lead.
And that doesn't just go away after a hit.
It was a mistake, he still has leadership skills (as defined by the clkub whoi placed him in that position) and he should remain in a position of leadership.

Hall was/is never a great on-field leader. He can be a great player with inspiring deeds and copping heaps of @@@@. He is also prone to flapping his arms around like a complete selfish goose and thouhtless aggression. He intimidates the players kicking to him. It will be great to have him back as part of the team. I also hope that he stops 'writing' his lam arse column excusing himself week after week.

Interestingly the Geelong leadership group acted in a similar fashion with regards to Steve Johnson's indiscretion. So it may well be 'right' if the goal is team success.

Johnsons were for off field behaviour because of being out on to too much booze, too often - also his recent speeding event ( but his premiership and Norm Smith medal credits kicked in on that one)

Onto Blind Barry ...

I saw a Roosey interview last night on Ch10 Sports.

Blind Barry himself resigned from the leadership group. He wasn't asked to, he wasn't sacked from it. The team will not be fining him nor will they be taking any further action against him.

Good onya Baz ... stay out of the leadership group and have no pressure put on you at all. Come back to footy, hit someone else, and be the highest paid ressie in the comp!!
