The Swans leadership group will meet with Barry Hall next week to decide on whether a punishment will be handed down by the club to the full-forward

Co-captain Craig Bolton would not say whether Hall?s place in the leadership group is now in jeopardy.

?That?s something that we haven?t spoken about extensively,? Bolton said.

?We?re obviously going to sit down with Barry and work through this and find a way to move forward, which I?m sure we?ll do.

?I?m only one of seven in the leadership group so I guess once we speak to Barry in more detail, get a gauge of how he?s feeling and how he?s responded to it and tell him how we?ve been feeling through the whole thing, we can move forward and get some plan of attack out of this. He?s obviously going to want to win some respect and trust back among the group and how he goes about doing that he can outline to us next week.?
    Another 7 week stint coming?

It'll depend on how well we're playing in 7 weeks

I would have thought getting turfed out of the leadership group would go without saying

I'd like to see Barry in the reserves for one week! Could be something to tell the grandkids.

He'd kick at least 10 goals. No amateur footballer would go anywhere near him.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Gee, the Belconnen fullback was traumatised enough with having to stand Davis last week. Lining up on BBBBH may just tip him over the edge.

It would be worth it though. I reckon I'd even travel down to Canberra for the weekend to watch it.

And it's not unprecedented. Remember that Plugger was sent to Port for a week in his "comeback" season - though admittedly for different reasons.

if the bloods culture / ethos is to be believed he will have to get some punishment from the leadership group

Remember Davo was banished for speaking out about being dropped so Bazza's brain snap has got to be worth some extra weeks few weeks in the reserves right?

Ok I can understand if the leadership group dish out their own punishment - but they best not cut their noses off to spite their faces (if that makes sense). I would hope that whilst they are taking the moral high ground with Baz that none of them themselves put a foot out of line. I did find Leo Barry's "yes we feel he's let us down" speech a bit self righteous and to be honest, not all that convincing. The incident itself was wrong, but if it wasnt for the media beat up then all of this isolation from the leadership group stuff wouldnt be happening.

Their bonds of mateship and the so called Blood's ethos (which they bang on about day in day out in that they stick together and support each other) cant be all that strong if they are deserting him the way they are - yet I think privately some of them would be thinking "yeah it was a great hit, pity it wasnt Hunter" - (oh sorry that was what I was thinking )

I even found it staggering that Morris Iemma was on the news putting his two cents worth in. He's on no position to judge anyone considering the way he runs this state!

What about the kid West from Geelong who knocked out Xavier Clarke??? Even my Geelong crazy client said yesterday that Hall has been treated like a murderer yet considering what this West kid did, he got away with it because it was only his 4th senior match - what kind of message is that sending out? (and he was at that game and reckons Baz's hit was nothing compared to what West did to Clarke)

I also found it hilarious and very hypocritical that "lawyer to the NRL thugs" Chris Murphy gets on TV was banging on that Baz should be charged with assault etc when he himslef has got so many rugby league players off charges for assaults far worse than what Hall did. Or was it the fact that he just didnt get the gig to represent Baz and Terry Forrest QC did? (and lets face it Murphy needs the money seeing as he has lost a few quid with the collapse of the stock brokerage last week)

Well once Barry's arm is better and if he's allowed to play seniors again (if Dalai Kirk & Co will allow it), he will be a target - he will get to the point he will just stand on the field, he will be constantly marked & niggled by 2 maybe 3 players, he will not be allowed to defend himself, push, fend off or even slightly touch his opponent. He will be under such scrutiny from the umps because they will still percieve that "he's Barry Hall he can look after himself" and someone will flatten him but that will be over looked (you wait and see) He will get to a point that he may as well give the game away - and to be honest, who would blame him.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I agree wardy, the self righteous crap that came out of Leos mouth almost matched the crap that Kirk came out with against Davis.

Murphy is the white haired lawyer who most of the NRL guys go to to get them off various charges - and he used to go to the NRL tribunals as well - he is the Celebrity lawyer who gets most off from an array of charges.

Also - I have to say that I think the world of Craig Bolton - but I was a bit put off by seeing him have his say last night - considering he's been in the leadership group 5 minutes and co-captain for 4 weeks. ( boy everyone is giving me the @@@@s today!!! )
