So how will you react when Collingwood or Richmond want to draft him Anni?

What about if Ricky Barham & Sydney came knocking? Would you be helping him pack his bags? Or would you not want him to go?

Nice one Ann - pass on my congrats!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Jarrod got a letter tonight telling him he has been selected for the Calder Cannons Summer Squad. It means 3 days a week training with the Cannons Mon/Wed/Fri for the next 4 months then selection for the TAC Squad takes place next year.

Fingers crossed now he has had his head (sinus's) operated on and his back is nearly healed that he will make the next step.

A tough but exciting road ahead - all the best for Jarrod, Anni.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

If he needs a manager I hear Tom Petroro is looking for a new client.

Just to let you know that Jarrod has made the 2009 TAC Cannons Squad, I am very excited, he is a typical 17 year old (his birthday is tomorrow). Marty Allison said that he needs to improve but he believes that in the Cannons ranks he can do it.

I am just proud that he has got to this level, it's very hard to get there and he has done it.

This year's draft or next? I can't remember what the minimum age is now. That "one day in November" might be a bit stressful!

                          Next year's draft.

According to Wikipedia (that reknown bastian of accuracy!), a player must be 18 on 31 December on the year they are drafted. New change for this year, used to be they had to be 17 on 30 April on the year they are drafted.

One more year living at home

                          Congrats, Jarrod, and good luck!
