Its not the backline. It is the midfield and forward pressure. The ball is streaming in far too fast. Not much our defenders can do about it.
Outside of the OOBOTF Nick Smith was pretty good.
Our possessions are just not damaging enough. We have missed easy opportunities, and we need to exert more pressure.Comment

They started well enough but seemed to get a bit rattled. Needed to take those early opportunities when they arose.
A lot of credit has to go to Geelong - they are playing very well. Just have to hope Roos can settle his troops down a bit during the break.Comment

It's everyone though. What's happening is when we stuff up going into the forward line, our backline are making the mistake of pushing up and it results in 3 Cats players being in the forward line by themselves to share the spoils. Its not the backline. Agree - when Geelong are hot they are hot and today they certainly are.A lot of credit has to go to Geelong - they are playing very well. Just have to hope Roos can settle his troops down a bit during the break.Comment

Sums it up pretty well. The speed and efficiency of their ball use is killing us. Able to find men in space in the forward line by running hard while we are struggling to move the ball forward past halfway.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
