You didn't comment on his higher contested possession ratio or clearances than all those other players.

Who is he behind in contested marks? No one under 190cm.
Lets put this in perspective. He got 10 possessions for the match FFS. (I though 9 but in the interests of fairness I'll accept Stells figure) Given that he was playing on a tough disciplined defender who thrashed him with 17 no doubt the pittance he managed to pick up were contested. He played like a rabbit in the headlights.

Stell i was at the game and IMHO he could have done a little more, but he wasnt as bad as some say.

I was sitting behind the goals at the non scoring end on the fence and every time he got with in ear shot i was trying to rev him into action.

The point I am making is that apart from his mediocrity as a small forward, he is incapable of playing as a small midfielder. We needed that extre mid in the last quarter as the kids tired. Playing Brabazon, Smith or Vez on a flank and switching them into the midfield gives us more run, pace and versatility. What do we lose. One gaol a match and the outside chance he might kick a bomb or two?

We keep going over the same points that you seem to ignore. Half backs get mid to high teens in possessions frequently. Many of them are cheap uncontested possessions off the back of the square. Harley has managed 14-19 possessions in 16 of his past 21 games.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Nowhere near as bad as Bevan's Round 1 performance.

to save time, why not list those in the fwd line that you think did well on their opponent.

We are on our second lap but I though you admitted that Harley beat him but used the extraordinary excuse that Harley beats everybody. Well what is it - did he beat Harley or not?

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I said that "I thought [Harley] played a good defensive game, but that happens". In other words he kept Davis fairly quiet, which will happen between forwards and backs. Davis was okay, but not good, but not thrashed. The number of possessions you keep citing are not supportive of your claim and Harley's influence on the last quarter you kept claiming is wrong.

Moore, OKeefe, McVeigh, Jolly (when resting) and of course Bevan when he forayed into the forward channell. Magic tried hard but was well beaten. Davis well - lets just say he was taken to the cleaners.

Moore did okay, like Barlow, for a brief period of time. ROK marked the ball beautifully and butchered the ball by foot terribly. What did Jolly do when resting in the forward line (his goal was when he dropped down as a loose man while rucking). Bevan had one possession in the forward line and kicked one goal - hardly a huge impact.

I love the spin on your comparison between MOL and Davis!

On TV it looked like Magic was also taken to the cleaners. Fair summary - i thought ROK played pretty well for a short tall fwd he takes plenty of marks.

North's defence has been pretty good this year, so I don't expect many easy possessions....

Jolly did a tremendous job by running into the forward line and presenting as a tall option. He had to ruck, plug the channell at the back and be the tall up forward. In my humble opinion that was one of the reasons we were run over the top in the last. Jolly was just out on his feet, they killed us in the ruck and started to run out of the middle. If we had played White at least we would have had a tall option up front, he could have rucked and taken the load off Jolly. LRT should have played at CHF. In my opinion Davis should never have played. In fact I said before the match we were one tall short. So not only do I think that Kid Terrific had a shocker, he shouldn't have been on the paddock in the first place. Smith should have played on the forward line as the fast defensive forward on Wojcinski and Davo should have been in Canberra in the two's or at 20/20. Anywhere but at Kardinia Park. History has absolved me.
