I don't care about Davis any more and whether he'll still play in seniors this year. His performance in the last quarter of 2005 SF will remain a lasting memory of him and now it's time to move on.

I think Jude already knows the answer, but I expect a better attempt than the from someone of Davis' calibre.

Borderline with BLT, maybe. He had a few bad clangers with the ball coming forward, but was ok in defence.
J Bolton was better than him. Both had two bad shots at goal.
Barlow ran with the ball, was mostly effective, no.
Buchanan didn't have a good game, but didn't have a howler either.
Barry had quite a good game in defence. Didn't have a lot of the ball, but did well considering the delivery to Thompson and Jones was reasonable. Had some important touches in close, was pretty crafty on his opponent.
Davis' opponent had 8 contested possessions, and 5 rebound 50s. I dont suspect the run off him in the 4th will go on his highlights reel either. @@@ for me.

              LRT did nothing.
J Bolton butchered the ball most times he touched it, not just his shots at goal.
Barlow's disposal was ordinary - ran with it yes, but took wrong options and missed targets.
              Same with Buchanan.
Barry was completely beaten by Thompson in the first half.
              MOL's opponent was North's best.

Edit: Looking at DT numbers, below Davis were J Bolton, Buchanan, LRT and White. Barlow slightly above him.

It's neither here nor there whether he was the worst or near the worst. As I said his confidence is gone and is struggling to have an influence. When the thing that he normally does well, and is one of the best in the competition at doing, is letting him down then confidence is a major factor. If he had nailed those two misses then he would have been seen to have been an effective forward option and his confidence may have improved later in the game. As I say, Roos' lockdown game doesn't suit him. A skilled small forward is never going to do well in the Swans team as it plays now. Nothing to do with him being one-dimensional or out of date - he would do very well in a number of other teams. Forwards have a horrible time at the Swans, as evidenced by our terrible goal kicking record under Roos.

Nick Davis should never wear the red and white again.

dropping davis will just destory the little confidence has left then what are we left with?

one less goal kicking option. So we have only oloughlin and okeefe left from our top 5 goal scorers from last year.

We struggle enough to kick goals we have to let davis have a decent run in the side.

perhaps push him up the field get him involved it will benefit the team more. He has a lot of "upside" left in him
Theres not much left to say

                    Dead man walking I'm afraid.

Whatever his contractual situation is at the moment, I don't think he'll be with us in 2009 if Roos is still there.

I noticed Darcy Daniher kicked 4 goals yesterday for Bendigo Bombers (kicked a few in the previous weeks also). Did we go hard enough for him???

Interesting point. I thing you are right, but if Roos goes I wonder what happens then.

Hopefully he goes either way...he just does not look interested. Maybe a combination of not being interested in the first place compounded by a coach who does not like him...it is obvious he does not want to be at the club at the moment and it does not appear the club wants him.

I think that could be turned around with a new coach and a fresh role. The problems are certainly compounding into a downward spiral though.

I don't know about that, Kirk kicked it to him once.

Tough game for him today, missed 2 goals you'd expect him to kick in his sleep. Guarantee he has about 200 shots from that pocket through the week.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

At least Bolton fights , which makes him great with skilled in form runners around him.(Malcheski) Jarrod Moore could have iced 2 of the games this year but missed. the young fella White showed he has the power to be able to play, and Hall punch cost us nothing, he has a broken arm. Nick Davis is a front runner who like signing autographs, Spider will be back next week. Today we had 13 premiership players in the side, with 4 available next. And Kirks point was a goal!

The lucks about to be turned around!
