I've read your comment twice judo and I still can't make much sense of it.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

shame they don't keep stats for never even tried. Quicker we get rid of this turkey the better we will was less than. Must be great for opposition sides knowing they will have a freeman running out of the backline

quicker we get rid of him the better we will be

Nick Davis is a front runner who like signing autographs, Spider will be back next week. Today we had 13 premiership players in the side, with 4 available next. And Kirks point was a goal!

The lucks about to be turned around!

Depends how he gets along with John Longmire. It's only assumptions, but I suspect the Horse will take over from Roos if it were to happen next season. I still get the horrible feeling that Davis is doomed if any of the current coaching staff remain in the box next year.

            Again you may be right.

Note: just watching the third qtr again and a Davis tackle led to a MOL goal. As disappointing as he was he wasn't far off contributing to five goals. Still, I doubt he will be lucky enough to get the chances others have received.

also had a clever tap in play to moore i think it was. He just has class which is what we so dearly need. I cant understand why more work isnt put into davis.

No other Swans player would have tried that, let alone thought of it. davis did it superbly. It's a pity the shot he set up was missed.

Think of it this way, if the Gold Coast was entering the comp next year and every team had to give away a senior player, Davis would be a no-brainer for us.

Thats where he sits at Sydney I think. Only a start-up team would be interested (read desperate) enough to give us decent trade (ie picks), but otherwise he's going to just stay on our list being a fringe player. Each contract getting smaller each time.

He could improve a bit, but will never be a midfielder, and probably never be the accountable forward Roos wants him to be.

Wasn't hopeless today. He kicked one and missed two that he'd normally kick (no one would argue with that). I haven't got an issue with him.

After his point in the last q(?), he reminded me of the guy in The Club, the standing there staring at the seagulls, during the game.

He seemed to be thinking about what might have (or should have) been rather than following his man, who almost got the kick out.

It almost looked as if he were playing without his usual confidence - just what you might expect from a player unjustly dropped. There were worse players out on the ground in this and previous games than Davis.

It was a tough game for him, but I certainly don't think he deserves to be dropped. I thought he was our most dangerous looking forward in the first half... missed 2 he should have got, could have waltzed in with 3 goals at the half. As a coach you'd have to be happy that he worked to get the chance for the gettable shots on goal, and ripping your hair out that such a good kick for goal missed twice.

Wasn't in the best players but should be in the team again next week. If he can bag a couple of early goals in a game I think it will do his confidence the world of good.

                                Agree with your thoughts Stellation.

He looks really down on confidence to me. I don't think he was all that far away from playing a good game yesterday.
