If Freo beat Melbourne this weekend (far from guaranteed, I know) then it's pretty much impossible for them to finish bottom. Counterintuitively, a Melbourne loss could hurt the Weagles in the race because it then reduces it to a 2-horse race.

Especially if the loss is a narrow one and the Weagles keep getting spanked. Which they should this week if the Blions are paying any attention.

Oh now that they have started tanki9ng, let's see the 70 point losses to crap teams like Richmond at home turn into 200 point jobs.

Just the thought of seeing all those smug types who turn up to Subi & leer at your arrogantly when they win leaving the ground in disbelief would be just awesome.

Still, why beat them by 100 points when you can give them a 7 goal start & only head them in the last 120 seconds of the match. I know what hurts more!

Hunter and B. Jones out for the season following surgery makes their journey to the spoon a bit smoother.

Melbourne and Freo both play Port. With Port's poor form this year, these sides are a chance to pick up an additional win. The Eagles don't play Port.

          Hmm.

              Could be a close game.

Question. Would you rather finish last and get first choice in the draft, or finish 14th-15th and save yourself the shame of getting the wooden spoon.

Well I still think that anyone selected with the 1st, 2nd or 3rd pick will be very handy for us. I'd rather finish 15th then last. 'Winning' the wooden spoon would be very demoralising.

^^ Good reply. You're bound to get someone decent either way, the best isn't always the first picked.

On this game, sheesh that was an average passage of play about 90 seconds ago. Shocking skills by both teams, not that we've been a picture of perfection over the last 2 games.

I cant see any signs of tanking from the boys tonight so far, yet most of our goals have come from free kicks which is a bit of a worry.

A scrappy 1st half of footy, umps trying to get the Eagles in the game on multiple occasions but it ain't working.

More like Brisbane playing sloppy football in our fifty, giving away free kicks which have been resulting in goals.

If West Coast got two more points, they would be dead tied with Melbourne on the Live Ladder, 1171-1814 each.
