Have they got shopping on Sundays over there yet mate? Are Skyhooks & Sherbet big hits in the west these days as well?

Of course there's no shopping on Sundays. That would be like...keeping up with the rest of the world. It's 1958 over here, not 2008. Skyhooks and Sherbet are still 20 years away.
I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

To JF bay 22 and Schneider Pig - Well said.

When living over there I wanted WA to win - but there attitude turned me off. I didn't want to raise the Mainwaring issue but I just don't get a community that gives a state funeral in the circumstances. the mindset is so different.

In one of my ligther moments in a pub over there was this guy was telling me he hates people from the east. When I said "But everyone is east of here" he replied after a pause "yeah".

        Myopic!

Just to add injury to insult.
D Kerr (West Coast) ankle. Copped a nasty knock to the ankle in the first quarter on Saturday night and took no further part in the game. He has aggravated an old ankle injury and will not be able to train for two to three weeks.

C Jones (West Coast)ankle. Sustained a high ankle sprain at training on Friday and is likely to miss 3-4 weeks.
However, they may get Priddis back.

He'll be the one tagged, so no net gain.

This is the season they had to have.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Karma. Shouldn't have been playing in the first place.

The streak continues, only this time they got a sniff so it was that much sweeter.

They won't make the finals, so I want them to start winning a few now.

That way they won't get any of the top kids in the draft like Rich and Naitanui who will both be guns.

The ideal scenario is that they miss out on the finals, and miss out on the top kids as well. That way it will just be an absolute waste of a season.

I like that thinking. I have no sympathy for them at all. I still hate them passionately.

Let's hope they can get a few wins and finish around 11th or 12th.

Unless they start tanking once they realise that they won't make the finals.

Yeah true. But I think even the weagles have more credibility than Carlton so they might not tank.

                              Swannies_rule,

So giving talented youngsters in Kennedy, McKinley, McNamara, Spanger etc more game time and more game experience is a waste of a season? Port did that in 2006 and look where it got them. A decent draft pick would be ideal; but it isn't be-all end-all for the Eagles.

Kennedy has been fantastic since getting a run in the seniors. Good for my Dream Team too.

Any real Swans supporter had to be going for the Eagles in this game. Unless you had a wager on it of course . . .
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .
