I believe the use of the term quarterback really refers to someone who is directing the flow of play, I don't think Paul passing off to another player to then deliver the ball is really directing the flow of play.
    See: Andrew McLeod.
Yep. I do hate using Americanisms but i think we do need a name for the first reciever defender on the kick out apart from hopeless, so little regarded that he's left alone etc. Quarterback is appropriate in the sense Bevo directs the ball to a running player as in American football (which i detest for the record). Of course this is not to be confused with a quarter pounder . . . but lets not get back on that merry go round.

Far more accurate than anything else suggested! Most teams give up that first kick and they also allow the sideways kick of 15m on the back of the square.

He played a great third quarter and scared the @@@@ out of Lazarus. Why would anyone be interested in the frothings of the most violent footballer to ever play the game who has been consistently out coached by the great Roosey? Bevo deserved his medallion

Yep... and it's usually a non key defender they look for because of their better kicking skills... and the forwards have usually flooded back to try to create a bit of a wall... so they chip around and the defenders rack up disposals... and then we highlight that "@@@@, that guy gave up a lot of the footy to his man!"
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Pretty sure he spent a total of about 12mins on for the entire game IIRC....

The Bevo Appreciation Society would only add one vote to the votes already cast by the Anti-Davo Society.

But has less votes than the coalition got at the last election (on 2 party preferred).

ATM i would take Bevo over Davo.

At the current time Bevo has a third of the votes, not bad considering every body doesnt like him.

                              Maybe at a pinch.

Those stats just prove how usless Davo is,look at some of the nuff-nuffs ahead of him.

Its pretty easy to average 1.8 per game when you only play 2 out of 5 games.
