Reserves suffer third loss
Plenty of players putting their hands up for selection in coming weeks, by the looks of it.Nic Fosdike played well in his first half of football back from injury and Peter Everitt, in his second game back, showed he was ready to be considered for senior selection next week. Matthew Laidlaw left the field in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return for the remainder of the game.
Ben Mathews was the Swans? best player again, playing on ball, and Luke Brennan played well in both the forward and back line. Tim Schmidt, who also played on ball, Brendan Murphy, at halfback and Peter Faulks, at full back, were also in the Swans? best. Top-up player Brendan Edwards was good for the Swans in defence.
Brennan kicked two goals in the first quarter and Mathews and Henry Playfair, in his first game in Swans? colours, also goaled to put the Swans seven points in front at quarter time.Comment
