I thought most of the 50s were very soft today. But that charge on Hale was absurd - could nearly have been reported - just lowered his shoulder and didn't even look at the ball.

No way, both players were going towards the ball and all Jude did was turn his body to protect himself with his shoulder from the contact.

It was neither later nor un-necessary contact, umpires didn't seem concerned and the commentators all praised Jude for his courage.

          Always liked Jude.

But, I'm afraid today was a shocker.

Tha's how I saw it too. He was running with the flight of the ball, looked up saw he was about to be cruched so twisted to protect himself.

I agree with all of the other stuff though, as I said last year within his ear shot and again today, "Bolton, you're a hack, and should only ever play in Canberra!"

Fair enough. I didn't really get a good look but it seemed to be like a strange charge.

I think, because we were at the other end to where I think most on here were sitting, I saw it from behind Bolton. When they showed it in the board it looked like "Oh @@@@, I'm about to get flattened," then he turned his back in self preservation mode. As much as I don't like him, I think some on here would call that soft, or maybe not, because he got "bloods" points for splitting his head open in the 05 GF.

When he missed that second shot and the siren went Goodes ran over and high fived him. I was waiting for him to cuff him around the ears.

Jude Bolton is one of the great chokers of the the game. How I was hoping Moore would take that mark.

Bolton was so bad today he has taken the pressure off LRT who played one of his worst games for ages. Back to his bumbling best I'm afraid to admit.

Jude is certainly one of the fellows I thought of with the "Does Roos play favourites" question.

I like Jude a lot, but he really doesn't offer a great deal more than "being hard at the footy". I think the midfield is the problem at the moment, I thought we lost it (drew it?) in the midfield tonight and obviously also against Geelong. Too many guys waiting around hoping for Goodes to do something.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
