Yes, he had a bit of the ball in the last quarter, but till then, had done bugger all when it matter. Similarly, his contributions in the past couple of games has been nothing more than a few nice shots at goal - something he couldn't reproduce yesterday.
Now, I know he's still learning and a kid, BUT - other than waiting in space to get the ball and having the odd bang at the sticks, his contribution ain't yet of any note.
Moore yesterday showed in some games you have to go bash and crash your way into a game. Young Bird still occasionally gets caught by the pace of the game but is a smooth mover who shows good decision making and runs hard.
In contrast, Barlow seems to coast and cruise and look for the easy option a bit too often. I'm not calling for his head as I'd rather Roos played younger guys than return to old farts like Matthews.
But I think he needs a good red hot poker up the date and be told to go in and do the hard work needed to get the ball and not just wait for it all to happen.
