I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
Is it true he has re-signed until 2010 or 2011, because that is a serious blunder wherever he plays, but especially if his career continues in Canberra!Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun
I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl WarrenComment

Some foightin' talk from young Nick. I like the attitude that comes across in this article. Let's hope he can nail 3 or 4 goals, playing from the midfield, tomorrow morning (or should that be latter this morning?)

I like his attitude in the article.
"It was an opportunity to make my mark on the game and it was the one thing I had control over. It was a debacle after that, though. I probably didn't play as well as I would've liked to.
"I'm going to get my confidence back and the club has to get their confidence back in me, and we'll be back on the right track. I don't want to be playing bad, but I am. That's the reality of life.
"I'm going to fight my way out of it.''Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

Back it up now Davo.
Heard this last time you where in this position as well.
Talk is cheap, just go do it and get your spot back.
Thought the photo of Davo in the Herald Sun the other day was exactly where he sits right now.
Really hope he can come back to his best though as Ive said in the past , we need him when he is right as he is a proven goalkicker.Est 1874

Who thinks this would help us?
I've been thinking about this for a while, Maybe years even! I think that if he was pulled aside by the coaching staff and told to get in tip top shape, Nick Davis would make a great attacking midfielder!. Spend this next month in the middle in the 2's and then when he comes back put him straight in the centre and tell him not to worry about his man and go out there and win the ball and occasionally sneak forward and kick goals. He has all the skills and enough speed and even more importantly a smart football brain! His work ethic is the only question but if Roosy sat him down and said to him that they want to re-invent him as a midfielder i would hope that he would relish the challenge. Maybe i'm dreaming but i really think that Nick could be a top line midfield superstar if only he was willing to bust his gut and run like Kirky and ROK. Who wouldn't love to see him bursting out of the centre and hitting BBBH on the chest!.Comment

It has been mentioned a few times in some of the threads, but it does seem like a good idea. Would love to see it implemented, if not just for a bit of change to the current format..."In some ways we?re less predictable to ourselves and sometimes that can be detrimental because we don?t really know where we?re going" - P.RoosComment

blah Blah Blah is all i can hear in my head after reading that. Up there with the rest of the fluff that most swans players come out with after a few loses or drop in form.
Do they have templates for this kind of fluff.Comment

If Hall or O'Loughlin have two bad weeks kicking for goal, does their ability get questioned? If we stick with Nick and show him the respect given to our other forwards, he will come through for us more times than not.[/QUOTE]
Why is MO'L immune from criticism on this site? Granted he did okay on Sunday, but his late rally was when the game was over. Davis cops it day in day out, but there are plenty of other culprits as well.Comment

a) Nick Davis is soft and lazy. Doesn't tackle or chase..blah blah been covered in this site. MOL tackles and tries to create something from nothing more than Nick ever does.
b) My dislike for Nick Davis is on par with the unofficial Nick Davis appreciation society (pres Stellation) who seem to bag any player yet keep on having love sit ins about Nick. It's not uncommon to read "But I thinkand his premiership credits have run out" and then "But if wasn't for Nick and that Geelong game.." at the same time. The same club have decided to put blame on Paul Roos for umm i don't know..but something.
c) Frustrating player who has been carrying "potential" and "has more talent in his right pinky" tags for waaaay too long and only showing us 40% of that so called talent.
e) refer to point b again.Comment
